Highly detailed 1/48 scale assembly model kit of the Mitsubishi F1M (Allied codename "Pete"), a World War II Japanese reconnaissance seaplane. This Hasegawa 1/48 scale assembly kit features the F1M2 variant, the 2-seat reconnaissance version used by the Imperial Japanese Navy, and the kit features completely new tooling with parts to construct 60kg bombs and a dolly (also can be used as a display platform). Hasegawa HAZ21 1:350 Scale IJN Battleship Mikasa Battle of The Japan Sea Model Kit
Hasegawa HAZ21 1:350 Scale IJN Battleship Mikasa Battle
Mikado is a pre-dreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) in the late 1890S, and was the only ship of her class. Named after Mount Mikado in nara, Japan, the ship served as the flagship of Admiral tōgō heihachirō throughout the russo-japanese War of 1904–1905, including the battle of port Arthur on the second day of the War and the battles of the yellow sea and tsushima. Days after the end of the russo-japanese War, Mikasa 's magazine accidentally exploded and sank the ship. She was salvaged and her repairs took over two years to complete. Afterwards, the ship served as coastal defence during world War I and supported Japanese forces during the Siberian intervention in the Russian civil War. After 1922, Mikasa was decommissioned in accordance with the Washington naval Treaty and preserved as a museum ship at yokosuka. She was badly neglected during the post-world War II occupation of Japan and required extensive refurbishing in the late 1950S. She is now fully restored as a museum ship and can be visited at Mikasa park in yokosuka. Mikado is the last remaining example of a pre-dreadnought battleship anywhere in the world. F-102 Delta Dagger in Detail & Scale (Digital Detail & Scale Series Book 6)
F-102 Delta Dagger in Detail & Scale (Digital
The Digital Detail & Scale Series continues with the newest title, F-102 Delta Dagger in Detail & Scale, covering the development, history, operational use, and details of this historically significant U. S. Air Force aircraft, the world’s first supersonic interceptor. Over the past four decades, Detail & Scale has published over 120 books on military aviation subjects, and the brand now includes a total of five digital publication titles in the well-respected Detail & Scale Series, one in the Colors & Markings Series, and a special release that covers the attack on Pearl Harbor in extensive detail. F-102 Delta Dagger in Detail & Scale continues the series focus on specific details of every aspect of this historic aircraft, but it includes so much more. It begins with a look at the developmental history of the F-102, usually just referred to as the “Deuce,” and what a phenomenal history it was! Designed at the time to be the first U. S. supersonic interceptor, the design unfolded in a period when aircraft designers didn’t really know what they did and didn’t know about supersonic flight. Based on the experimental design of the XF-92A, the first true delta-winged aircraft to fly, the Deuce was expected to be capable of supersonic flight and operational by 1954. In ...

Hasegawa 1:48 Scale JU87G-2 Stuka Anti-Tank Model
With the G variant, the aging airframe of the Ju 87 found new life as an anti-tank aircraft. This was the final operational version of the Stuka, and was deployed on the Eastern Front. The reverse in German military fortunes after 1943 and the appearance of huge numbers of well-armoured Soviet tanks caused Junkers to adapt the existing design to combat this new threat. The Hs 129B had proved a potent ground attack weapon, but its large fuel tanks made it vulnerable to enemy fire, prompting the RLM to say "that in the shortest possible time a replacement of the Hs 129 type must take place." With Soviet tanks the priority targets, the development of a further variant as a successor to the Ju 87D began in November 1942. On 3 November, Erhard Milch raised the question of replacing the Ju 87, or redesigning it altogether. It was decided to keep the design as it was, but to upgrade the powerplant to a Jumo 211J, and add two 30 mm (1.18 in) cannon. The variant was also designed to carry a 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) free-fall bomb load. Furthermore, the armoured protection of the Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik was copied, to protect the crew from ground fire now that the Ju 87 would be required to conduct low level attacks.
